I thought I would share this blast from the past! As per my bio I regrettably had around a 20 year break from the hobby, however I did managed to pick it up again for a few years in the middle.
In March 2002 I purchased an MK Alliance kit from ProBuild-UK, this was the “inner pattern flyer” in me wanting to fly aerobatics again!
This was a complete scratch build, in other words it was pretty much a box of balsa that you had to make into an aircraft. A million miles away from the ready to fly kits you can buy today.

As you can see from the gallery below this really was a challenging build but really enjoyable. From jigging the fuselage, assembling the wing ribs, fibre glassing the fuselage and spraying! The plane was fitted with a YS63 on a tuned pipe!
