This video documents a milestone moment for me – my first ever Jet Model Association (JMA) event, held at Tibenham Airfield, and the maiden flights of my 2.8m FTL Innovations Lancer.
It’s a full-day experience, covering the journey to the event, the build-up and preparation, flying the aircraft (including its third flight), and finishing with a honest debrief on how the day went.
Flying at a JMA event brings a completely different atmosphere – incredible pilots, high-performance turbine jets, and a seriously supportive flying community all in one place. Tibenham did not disappoint.
The FTL Lancer handled its early flights beautifully, and getting it in the air in that environment made the whole experience even more memorable.
