This is Part 1 of my FTL Lancer turbine build — and my very first turbine-powered jet build.
In this episode I focus on getting the core airframe systems installed:
• Wing servos installed
• Main retracts fitted
• Horizontal stabiliser servos installed
• Rudder servo installed
• Nose retract mounted
• Turbine installed
• Fuel tanks prepared
The FTL Lancer is beautifully engineered, and this stage is all about taking it from an empty airframe to something that’s starting to look like a serious turbine machine.
This is my first turbine build, so I’ll be sharing the wins, lessons and any mistakes along the way.
